2018-2019 SEASON - ALL CLUB VOLUNTEERS, TEAM MANAGERS & COACHING STAFF WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE KIDSAFE.

IN ADDITION TO THE KIDSAFE BACKGROUND CHECK YOU ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE SAFESPORT ABUSE TRAINING - MORE INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND HERECONTACT YOUR CLUB FOR ACCESS CODE.

ANYONE WHO IS ON THE SIDELINES MUST COMPLETE THE KIDSAFE BACKGROUND CHECK AND BE ISSUED A COACHING PASS BEFORE PARTICIPATING.

KIDSAFE FAQ's

1. I don't have a username to login with, who do I contact?

    Contact your club registrar to create a username for you.

2. My spouse's information is populating instead of mine, what do I do?

    Everyone must have their own account, contact your club registrar to create a username & password for you.

 

3. It states: cannot register this duplicate account. What does that mean?

    The system recognizes more than one account for you, please contact support@nebraskastatesoccer.org.

 

4. What if my date of birth or contact information is incorrect?

    Contact your club registrar to correct this information for you.

 

5. I already tried to submit my kidsafe once, but it didn't ask for my SSN.

    Log back into the kidsafe website and submit it again, if the problem continues please contact support@nebraskastatesoccer.org.

 

6. My risk status shows "under review", what does that mean?

    This status shows whenever a charge is on your record. This could be anything from a littering fine to a more severe charge. The state risk management committee will review this and if further information is needed they will be in contact with you.

 

7. My risk status shows "expired" but I know I already submitted this. What did I do wrong?

   Most likely you forgot to click SUBMIT BACKGROUND CHECK and enter your SSN before exiting the application, please follow the directions which can be found here.

 

8. It is asking for an admin's SSN, who is that?

   The admin is you, the applicant. You will enter your SSN here in order to process the background check.

 

9. Who is JD Palatine?

   JD Palatine is the background check provider who processes the background checks for the state.

 

10. Why do I need to provide my Social Security Number?

   This is the most effective way to process background checks. Using your SSN gives our provider better access to court records.

 

11. I submitted my background check a few days ago but my status still shows "submitted".

   It can take anywhere from 1-7 business days for the background check to process. If it has been more than seven business days please contact your club to get a status update.

 

12. I fon't have a social security number, what should I do?

   Please contact support at the state office for the process for foreign coaches.

13. Who is required to complete the kidsafe background check?

   All club volunteers, team managers and coaching staff are required to complete an annual background check.
